My Birthday is My Biggest accomplishment each year.
a recognition of Me and the things I have Loved.
each bundle of Joy, the Smiles and Laughs,
ability to move Forward after the hours of tears;
6 Years Old, hair up on the Tippy Top of my head.
the face of the paper mache Cat my Parents had filled.
lovely red and blue Decorations surrounding the Home,
giggles of me, to the giggles of them.
the Whimsical flying of being a Youth;
7 Years Old, my bangs have been chopped.
all of us Siblings holding our wands.
September is our month, the month to show our Magic,
from the Oldest to Youngest and me in the Middle.
the harry potter Imagination was replicated through Us;
8 Years Old, with my little White gown.
all my Friends lined up in the front.
dried from the water that Purified my Soul,
my friends asking me “whats the Holy Ghost”
Everyone I Loved filled my Backyard.
I was still a youth, but my Responsibility had grown;
16 Years Old, was all so Sweet.
return from France, with my Frenchie.
a long boho table, and Crepes to eat,
Kickball, Karaoke, and driving the forewheeler.
I asked them to stay Sober, but we weren’t youth;
17 Years Old, far Far from Home.
the Culture was different, my eyes full of Tears.
the love from my Family and friends came through the Phone,
new Class met at the movies, our Laughter filled my Soul.
Party for me, with even some Wine, I was not youth;
18 Year Old, pink glitter and gold
I was not Youth, I was an Adult
though my Soul has been Grown my Heart has been Young
Pictures from 0-18 lined the Walls while tears Filled my Eyes
my youth is a Choice a choice to Stay young,
to be Cindy-Lou-Who or Hermione Granger,
even Baptized or Holy divider,
far from Home but close to Heart,
I’ve always been a Little Girl with a Very Grown Soul,
Now I am a girl, with a very youthful Heart.
